We all can help knock down the walls of homophobia and ignorance by speaking out, coming out and daring to be ourselves. There is safety in numbers. There is truth in numbers. The more and more stories and testimonies we hear across the world the louder our voice is as a collective unit. Thanks to the internet and You Tube we now can see others across the globe who share the same kinship of being people with same-sex attraction. Truth marches on and my friends we are on the side of truth and the ignorance will be brushed aside only because we are all marching together all acrosss the world. We are gathering, we are rising to the front lines, and we are speaking out like never before because we see the power in the great numbers of the gay community worldwide. Never in the history of the world have we been able to unitwe and converse with brothers and sisters who are created with that same specialness that God reserved for gay people. Gold is rare and it is precious and we are God’s Gold even though the Church and others don’t want to believe it. Someday when the church wakes up and discovers they have mistreated us, abused us, and discriminated against us, they will have to allow us our freedoms. The very sad thing folks is that they will not give it to us because they want to but because they are forced to. We have to fight for our rights to be who we are and for our rights. That is the sad track record of the church and state. They did not hand blacks thier rights even if as humans they deserved them. The same goes for every other oppressed and suppressed people. This is the church’s biggest shame. They never figure it out on thier own. We have to tell them. We have to get up in thier face in a peaceful and non-violent way and say hey, we are real people who deserve the same darn rights you do.
So let us all push with a great might that has never been witnessed before. Now is our time to shine. We will trample under our foot the ignorance and lack of understanding. God has raised up a people. He always has creaTED GAYS BUT THEY AS A COMMUNITY COULD NEVER EVER UNITE IN GREAT NUMBERS BECAUSE TECHNOLOGY DID NOT ALLOW IT TO BE SO ACCESSIBLE AS IT IS TODAY.
I talk with other gay people all over the world. From Germany, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, America, South America, Europe and elsewhere. It is very inspiring!

Hold your head up high!

The following is a collection of converts’ stories which are enlightening, heart-warming and inspiring in equal measure. These new Muslims come from a variety of backgrounds. They include intellectuals, scientists, priests, and artists, young and old, from around the globe. Most of these converts are former Christians or from a Christian background. These testimonies only represent a drop in the ocean however, since every day hundreds of people convert to Islam all around the world. Amongst the most powerful and thought-provoking testimonies are those of former Christian priests and missionaries who have discovered the one true religion.

‘Revert’ is actually a more appropriate term than ‘convert’, since all human beings are born pure. By embracing Islam, one returns to the original and sinless state in which God created him or her. However we have used the term convert to avoid any possible ambiguity.

The Ten Commandments unfolds with all of the spectacle, violent human drama, and grand inspiration that have earned it its distinction as the greatest story ever told. I am Catholic and have noticed many people on here use bible verses of Paul when I ask religious questions. I also attended a wedding in a reformed church this Saturday and the preacher said “And Paul says….” at least five times. I guess I am not used to so much emphasis being placed on anyone but Jesus. Why is it that Paul is such a central figure in Christian churches?

Paul's legalism fits their own narrow views of spirituality more than Jesus's message of love.

Love is hard: it takes thought and humility, 2 things many evangelicals don't seem to like very much.

Judging and self righteousness is easy.

is that just quoting scripture or is it not a bit threatening and wrong? I’m not referring to a casual conversation where someone is preaching to you and informing you as to what the bible says about it…I’m saying, if they are more less chanting this at you and to you. I find it offensive.

~Thanks in advance~

If someone were not a Christian and chanted this to someone, it could be taken quite seriously in society. Yet, Christians seem to be exempt from repercussions because of what's written in their book. I don't think so.
I would never talk to someone this way, nor would I use my own faith to indicate any reference to someone's life being taken from them. It would seem to me that Christianity is flawed. How dare they claim that love is on their side! Such hypocrisy!

Yes, it is threatening. You’re right, if you just said this quote but vice versa (about christians), all hell would break loose. …. but remember: it’s “god’s word”.

If you take a good look at the behavior of human beings centuries ago, some of it was pretty insane and completely off the wall. I could definitely see them making up a story like the bible. So how do we know that it’s not made up? How are we supposed to know that it is really inspired by god?

To many prophecies that have occured,
more than 300 on Christ alone,
but being baptized in Spirit is proof
even without reading the word.
Study prophecy, thats how I became interested
in the bible. Over 30 years of study and listening
and reading. A really good prophecy teacher
is Perry Stone on Mannafest or VOE.org
its an upbeat sorta prophecy website and
his show is #1 on Christian tv.
