You know, Christians can believe that their god really did inspire people to make up these stories but he never wanted these stories to be taken as literal truth; they were only ever meant to be a teaching aid. You know, using a fictional story to better illustrate how the Christian god wants people to treat one another. They’re not relating to events that did take place and if the bible does mention something that really was real and did take place, it’s only by coincidence. Is it possible for Christians to look at the bible this way? Because, if there is a god, do you really think he’d want people to believe in a story like Noah’s Ark? I mean, that story is clearly impossible but I suppose it’s important for Christians to think their god is capable of destroying the world if people piss him off.
No, that would be silly. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Athiests are unable to discern spiritual things, so I would not expect you to understand.
I will pray for God to help you to sincerely desire to understand his Word.
