Inspirational Quotes

Christian inspirational quotes.

Posted by admin on September 7, 2008

I used to be a hardliner atheist but changed my mind very quickly and have now been a Christian 25 years; I will post a video explaining this later. The Bible is amazing and I hope that these quotes will correct some of the misinformation you may have seen and perhaps encourage you to look these passages up and read around them; perhaps go to a lively evangelical or charismatic church and learn more.

    Hi Open4Heart. …
Hi Open4Heart. Thank you for your Qs, they r so good that I am going to post a vid response and give u the long answers but 4 now here is the short version: Jesus constantly said he is God and demonstrated it with authority over nature and demons etc but 4 now - John 8 v 58 compare w Exodus 3 v 14. Jesus did say obey me, but more so he said “love me”, we obey because of love, look @ John 14 v 15. Jesus came to give us a relationship with God as Moses and others had, not a religion, relationship

  2. Open4Heart Said,

    where in the bible …
where in the bible does jesus say i am god, also where does he say that christianity is your religion, also most importantly. where in the bible did he say “obey me” he said “follow me” just because i say i am the truth and my father is the truth does not necesarily make us one. we may believe the same thing but we are not one.

Amazing stuff mate. Visited England back in February and fell in love with the place, even if I did stick out like a stupid American :p. God bless from Texas!

    wow this is really …
wow this is really great, these quotes are really inspiring and encouraging. i only wish you were getting more publicity.
    keep them coming dave:)

  6. davemakesawave Said,

    96% of the universe …
96% of the universe is said to be unseen.

  7. farvision Said,

    My personal …
My personal spiritual experiences are good. The spiritual dimension is seen and experienced, nothing is unseen. Such experiences are valid in themselves and sometimes powerful and useful. Most people misinterpret them by a primitive mumbo-jumbo for which there is no evidence. Once can rationally interpret the experiences as effects in a finite brain; this in no way denigrates the experience. To think there is a god as a result of finding one’s eye’s blind spot is the height of stupidity.

  8. davemakesawave Said,

    Hey farvision, …
Hey farvision, sorry to see you have had bad spiritual experiences but also interested to see you acknowledge the ability to experience the unseen spiritual dimension. My agnostic physics tutor first introduced me to this possibility which cracked my faith in science and eventually led me to my faith in God.

  9. davemakesawave Said,

    Gods creation is …
Gods creation is cool even in its’ corrupt state isn’t it? You should read Luke 20 verses 8-19.

  10. farvision Said,

    I have had enough …
I have had enough spiritual experiences to know what you are talking about, you are making wrong assumptions about me. You also have not supplied the evidence I would need to change my mind. You resist providing evidence. Ok, fine. Looks like you are scared that if you were to look closely at you r ‘evidence’ you would find an alternative explanation. I’m willing to be shown something interesting and new - I’m a scientist! I just discovered something new and cool this morning.

  11. davemakesawave Said,

    I am not assuming …
I am not assuming what you would find, your channel makes it clear. Your mind is already made up. Like you, I am educated but I have also experienced the life transforming power and love of God. Really, it is wonderful; you are missing out and should have a more open mind.

  12. farvision Said,

    No, please don’t …
No, please don’t assume what I would find. You refuse to give evidence - that’s your right. But then you should not expect anyone with a brain to agree that you see special things. I would say that anyone who is trapped by any religion is obviously not thinking rationally OR is rather uneducated
(ignorant of modern knowledge). The number of deluded people is irrelevant to the truth.
“Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.”
    Mohandas Gandhi

  13. davemakesawave Said,

    Apology accepted …
Apology accepted but I am not on trial and if I were you would find against me no matter what I say so there is no point. There are millions of rational thinkers worldwide who are Christians and that is simply a fact.

  14. farvision Said,

    Sorry, that was a …
Sorry, that was a bit harsh, but you didn’t provide any evidence and yet claim to have evidence. You avoid giving evidence. I have no recourse left but to think that you are not telling me the truth.

  15. davemakesawave Said,

    I am not a liar …
I am not a liar thank you. Jesus has proven himself to me. You refuse to believe / accept the evidence; that is entirely your choice.

  16. farvision Said,

    Ok, then no …
Ok, then no rational person will believe your claims that you saw santa claus. Sorry, you just made all that up and you lied to me. I am willing to listen to evidence, you say you have nothing to prove which means you have no evidence.

  17. davemakesawave Said,

    I have nothing to …
I have nothing to prove, I merely posted a video stating some of the reasons why I am a Christian and I am happy to answer questions and discuss.

  18. farvision Said,

    How about doing a …
How about doing a video giving precisely what your experiences were and are? Then the rest of us can make hypotheses to explain them. You have been bamboozled by your church to think that your experiences indicate something about a supernatural/mythological being, but in EVERY CASE that I’ve looked at when someone explained their experiences, it was invariably possible to give a reasonable explanation. If not, then YOU GET TO BE EXTREMELY FAMOUS. (Usually that’s not of interest, good excuse.)

  19. davemakesawave Said,

    Chill mate. What I …
Chill mate. What I believe is based on first hand personal experience and an ongoing experience at that; I can’t help it and I won’t deny it. I used also to be an atheist and would have agreed with you 25 years ago but then I experienced Gods forgiveness, mercy and presence which has never left me. My opinion is now based on personal experience and although it is regularly tested it is also regularly confirmed. It really is great being a Christian; not at all always easy, but always worth it.

  20. farvision Said,

    Oh bogosity. If …
Oh bogosity. If you are right, then go and win the Randy prize. Make videos, have scientists and Randy as witnesses. PROVE IT. What a bunch of garbage you believe.

  21. davemakesawave Said,

    Hey. For a …
Hey. For a scientist, you make a massive amount of assumptions. Given that many times I have seen blind people instantly healed, broken limbs instantly healed, wheelchair bound people suddenly running and jumping, people suddenly freed from the power of evil spirits, not on video; first hand, I have seen hundreds of miracles, this is the normal Christian life and so I do have really strong proof for God and then as mentioned, there is the archeology etc. Happy easter farvision and everyone else

  22. farvision Said,

    Allergies change as …
Allergies change as one gets older. How do you know that, for example, you didn’t have a persistent sinus infection that got cured when you took an antibiotic for some other reason?
All you have is one data point. It is not a double blinded scientifically conducted experiment and there are at least two natural explanations (given above). That’s a really weak thread to hang a massive concept like a god on. You should have really strong proof, not that everybody believes based on no evidence!

  23. davemakesawave Said,

    Hi bro. So you …
Hi bro. So you can’t measure God? Of course you can’t but God can measure you. You also can’t kill God, whether on a cross or with science; that was tried 2000ish years ago and it didn’t work. He continually exists and he continually loves, you can’t change that. When I have the time I will post a vid about my being healed from 42 years of asthma; God heard me and answered me and my doctor changed my medical notes accordingly. The doctors and nurses in our church all believe Jesus heals.

  24. farvision Said,

    Careful experiments …
Careful experiments on prayer show it doesn’t work. Of COURSE if you treat others nicely you will get good results - there is nothing mysterious about that and one does not need to invoke any gods like Loki to explain it.

  25. davemakesawave Said,

    The evidence points …
The evidence points backwards towards the Bible; archaeology, quantum physics, world religions, historical writings, modern day miracles, answered prayer, fulfilled prophecy and more. I testify that I have applied the Bible in my life and I do see the results; others around me see the results also. Some like the results, others don’t, but they do see them. Therefore I and millions of others testify to the written evidence and I am telling the truth if you will accept it.
